      Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Shorox. By downloading, installing, or using the Shorox
      app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
    

1 About Shorox

Shorox is a bilingual parallel audio and text learning application operated by TPRLAB LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). Shorox allows users to upload their own content, record audio, and experience it in parallel bilingual format to support language learning.

2 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Shorox. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3 Account Registration

To access most features of Shorox, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Keep your login credentials confidential
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4 Your Content

Shorox is a "bring your own content" (BYOC) app. You retain full ownership of all text, audio, and recordings you upload or create within the app ("Your Content").

By uploading content to Shorox, you grant TPRLAB LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Shorox service to you.

Important: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and use any content within Shorox. Do not upload content that you do not own or have permission to use, including copyrighted audio, books, or recordings of third parties without their consent.

You agree not to upload content that:

Infringes any third-party copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
Contains illegal material or promotes illegal activity
Is defamatory, harassing, or abusive
Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
Violates any applicable law or regulation

5 In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Shorox may offer premium features through in-app purchases or subscriptions processed via Apple App Store or Google Play. All purchases are subject to the terms of the relevant platform.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) until cancelled.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: Refund requests are subject to the policies of Apple App Store or Google Play. TPRLAB LLC does not issue refunds directly for app store purchases.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

6 Acceptable Use

You agree to use Shorox only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
Use the app to record conversations without the consent of all parties involved
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the app
Resell or sublicense access to Shorox without our written permission
Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services

7 Microphone and Recording Consent

Shorox requires access to your device microphone to enable the in-app recording feature. By granting microphone access, you confirm that:

You consent to the app recording audio when you actively initiate a recording session
You have obtained all necessary consents from any other individuals whose voices may be captured
You will comply with all applicable wiretapping, eavesdropping, and recording consent laws in your jurisdiction

8 Intellectual Property

The Shorox app, including its design, code, branding, and features, is owned by TPRLAB LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any Shorox intellectual property.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Shorox app without our express written permission.

9 Disclaimer of Warranties

Shorox is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TPRLAB LLC disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TPRLAB LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of Shorox.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

11 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TPRLAB LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of Shorox, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Shorox at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time via the app settings.

13 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which TPRLAB LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

14 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Shorox after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
